Getting a set of semi-permanent eyelash extensions from Kelowna Esthetics Studio will save you time from your daily beauty routine since you will no longer need to curl and apply coats of mascara on your lashes! Eyelash extensions instantly give you longer and thicker eyelashes, extending your natural eyelashes and drawing attention to your eyes. They look so natural that no one will know they are not yours!
What are eyelash extensions? Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent and are made from single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are available in a variety of lengths and thickness depending on the look you are going for - from an everyday look, to lashes for your wedding day. It's important to note that eyelash extension are applied to each lash - they are not the same as 'false eyelashes' or 'strip lashes'. How long do eyelash extensions last? Normally a person's natural eyelash falls out every 60 - 120 days and a new lash grows in. Depending on the type of natural lashes you have, you will need to get eyelash extension touch-ups every 2 to 4 weeks to add lashes to the new growth. Your natural lash cycle, as well as how you take care of your eyelash extensions, will affect how long the extensions will last. Classic vs. Volume vs. Hybrid Lash Extensions Classic lash extensions are applied one-to-one, that is, one classic extension is applied to one natural lash. I use a thickness of 0.10mm to 0.20mm depending on the client's natural lash strength. Volume lashes involves placing a 'fan' of several lashes (from 2-6) on each individual eyelash. The eyelash extensions used to make the fans are very lightweight, from 0.03mm to 0.07mm. Volume lashes, like the name suggests, create more volume for ladies who would like a more dramatic eyelash extension effect. Hybrid lashes are a combination of classic lashes and volume lashes. My favourite two styles are either using the volume fans to simply give a more voluminous natural look, whereby the fans are the same length as the classic lashes, or I use the combination of classic lashes and fans to create a more dramatic look. Long classic lashes are applied (e.g. 15-16mm) at intervals, and then shorter fans are placed in between (e.g. 12mm) creating that "Kim Kardashian" kind of effect! |
